Anakiwa 401’s Guest Wing is available for one exclusive group at a time – a special private retreat for a couple or a perfect getaway base with friends.
The Guest Wing is located in the historic part of the property that’s filled with charm, but has all the modern facilities you’d expect; fully-equipped kitchen, dining & living area, a separate lounge with flat-screen TV & DVD player and access to over 150 movies, as well as a private outdoor courtyard with barbecue & terraces to relax in. The guest wing’s north facing aspect captures the sun so is warm but for added comfort, it is double-glazed and has a heat pump. With its homely yet spacious atmosphere, it comfortably accommodates four people and offers a relaxed setting for your next Marlborough Sounds holiday adventure.
The Guest Wing features two bedrooms – The Old Verandah which is a beautifully appointed sunny room and has a balcony & sea view for those perfect summer evening pre-dinner drinks. Featuring a comfortable double bed with fan for summer nights and electric blanket & hot water bottles for the cooler months, this suite has a clean modern ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom, The Old Shed has two quality Sealy Posturepedic king single beds, so you can be assured of a very comfortable night. It is located just a few steps away from the guest wing yet close to all facilities and therefore enjoys additional privacy and quietness. It also features it’s own TV & DVD player. Adjacent to this room is a further clean modern bathroom with shower and separate toilet.
We provide all bed linen and both bathroom and beach towels, along with complimentary toiletries and hairdryer in each bathroom. You’ll also have use of our extensive Facilities including sit-on top kayaks, stand-up paddleboard & bikes to explore the bay, unlimited wifi, BBQ and outdoor dining and gardens to relax in.
Only two of you? Our Guest Wing has the space for you to unwind and relax in a spacious environment, prepare your own meals in the full kitchen, sit out on the patio, balcony or in the garden, or relax in the lounge & dining areas. However, not everyone requires two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so we have a special rate for couples who are using only one bedroom and one bathroom in the Guest Wing. Maximum number of guests is two. When booking the special One Bedroom Only rate for 2 people, you will have the use of one bedroom and one bathroom only, but use of all other facilities in the Guest Wing.
Please note:
- a minimum stay of 2 nights may apply to Anakiwa 401’s Guest Wing and
- only children over 12 years of age are allowed (under 12 year olds can be accommodated in our family suite, The Bay View Apartment).
